Lyrical

Lyrical is a combination of jazz and ballet that interprets the lyrics of the music.  Lyrical is freer than ballet but still requires technique along with balance and control.  Lyrical allows the student to focus on the movement.

                   Jazz

         Jazz is an energetic and fun way to develop strength and stamina.  It is upbeat and fast             paced.  

         We do not require the lyrical and/ or jazz dancer to take ballet but to excel in lyrical and            jazz taking or have taken ballet makes the student a stronger and better dancer.  We do            offer a technique class a student can take and benefit from in addition to lyrical and/or              jazz class.

                  Technique Classes

        Technique classes focus on the mechanics of what the body does so a dancer is able to           perform as well as posture and body alignment.  The classes also strengthen and                     condition the dancer.  The students also work on leaps, jumps and turns.

       The Lyrical, Jazz and Technique classes are set up by Levels with Level I being Beginner,        Level II being Intermediate and Level III Advanced.  

Dress Code:  Girls: Black Leotard, Pink or Tan Tights
Boys:Black Soccer Shorts, White T-shirt
Shoes:  Check with office to see what instructor prefers
